February 2025 Newsletter
Hau`oli Makahiki Hou!
Yes, it is a new year! Time to get ready for the 2025 Regatta Season!
Our Hui Nalu newsletter is finally up and running with a new “editor-in-chief”, Alex Phillipou, a first year paddler who has jumped right in to kokua the Club. This was one of the major issues we tried to fix this past year. It has been a long haul and are excited to have Alex onboard. Mahalo Alex!
The newsletter will include information of upcoming Club events i.e., regattas, community engagements and other Club activities. Members are encouraged to read our newsletter to stay informed.
Other ways we communicate with membership is through our website, Facebook, What’s app and Instagram.

Once again Hokule`a arrived in Maunalua Bay on Sunday, February 9th. We were privileged to escort her into the marina and participate in the welcoming ceremony with 90 Hui Nalu members!
Many of the Hawaii Kai community organizations were recognized and brought ho`okupu. Mahalo to everyone who donated materials and time for the beautiful lei we were able to gift. Shy Pratt and her halau, Hula Halau Kanani’onapua O Maunalua, presented hula.
